Combine this with surreal shots and moments, and Othercide looks like it won’t just please in the gameplay department, but in the looks as well. From flowing scarfs to blood splatters you can be sure that when you decapitate a demon you’ll look good doing it. The game employees a stunning gray scale effect, with a lovely splash of red when it looks best. You can always use some tactical goodness in your life, and even better this is absolutely beautiful goodness. Life is tough in the greyscale otherworld… Which is super important, since the only way to heal in Othercide is to sacrifice your warriors and feed them to the rest of your team. Play smart to land powerful coordinated combos and get through encounters without taking damage. The trick with Othercide is that it uses a unique initiative system to wind up attacks. They’ll take up sword, ax, and guns in an effort to destroy Suffering, and you’ll guide them along their journey in turn-based tactical combat. You’ll take control of three angels (who are actually just three of the same person but also all their own people? jsut go with it) who are charged with the rather difficult task of saving humanity from a group of demons known as Suffering.
